Basic Information
Apos Therapy was developed by Dr. Avi Elbaz and Dr. Amit Mor from the fields of orthopedics and sports medicine. In the 1990s, with a deeper understanding of biomechanics, the medical community discovered that the neuromuscular system plays an important role in the development and rehabilitation of orthopedic conditions, leading to the emergence of related therapies. In 2004, Apos Therapy was established, opening its first flagship center in Herzliya, Israel. Today, Apos Therapy has a total of 11 centers across four countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel, and Singapore.Apos Therapy is a personalized program for treating various orthopedic conditions, utilizing individually calibrated, patented foot-worn biomechanical devices for therapeutic activities. The treatment is provided by specially trained physical therapists and is integrated into the patient's normal daily routine (at home or at work), lasting approximately one hour per day for optimal results. The goal of Apos Therapy is to address biomechanical abnormalities specific to various orthopedic conditions, including misalignment of the body, muscle weakness, impaired neuromuscular control, and the resulting abnormal pathological movement patterns. The ultimate aim of the treatment is to facilitate and restore the required movement patterns for patients. The philosophy of Apos Therapy is to empower patients by enhancing their understanding of the root causes of their condition and symptoms. This knowledge, combined with personalized treatment methods, enables patients to take an active role in managing their treatment and progress. Additionally, Apos Therapy closely monitors patient progress and shares clinical outcomes with them so they can objectively assess their improvement.
