Nanox Imaging

Nano-X Imaging has developed a digital X-ray source that can reduce the cost of imaging systems by several orders of magnitude. Their goal is to establish early detection preventive healthcare as a new standard of care. The Nanox field emission cathode technology was originally developed for high-definition flat panel displays. Over time, the manufacturing process transitioned from glass to silicon, significantly enhancing power density and uniformity. After more than 20 years of research and development, with over $1 billion in investment, their team of engineers has created unique intellectual property, patents, and the ability to design and manufacture high-performance field emission cathodes that outperform all previous efforts. Nanox’s proprietary cold cathode technology greatly expands the capabilities of X-ray imaging. At the core of their high-power cold cathode is a "chip" composed of nanostructures created using proprietary nanofabrication techniques. This chip is designed to support various medical imaging use cases.
