Opthea Limited (formerly Circadian Technologies) is an Australian publicly listed biotechnology company focused on developing novel biologic therapies for the treatment of eye diseases.Opthea’s lead compound, OPT-302, blocks two members of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family, VEGF-C and VEGF-D, which drive blood vessel growth and leakage. Abnormal blood vessel growth and vascular leakage are hallmarks of several eye conditions, including wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD).
