Colospan

Colospan is a clinical-stage medical device company dedicated to developing proprietary technologies for colorectal surgery to prevent anastomotic leakage and divert colonic stomas. It has developed products that protect the bowel after colectomy and bowel sealing, which can be used for severe inflammatory bowel disease and colon or rectal cancer. Leakage can easily occur where the bowel is sealed, necessitating prolonged hospitalization or repeat surgeries for already frail patients.
