Greatbatch is a developer and manufacturer of implantable medical devices (IMD) and electrochemical battery components. The company is divided into two segments: Greatbatch Medical and Electrochem Solutions (Electrochem). Its customers include large multinational original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The Greatbatch Medical segment primarily designs and manufactures medical devices and components for the cardiac rhythm management (CRM), neuromodulation, vascular access, and orthopedic markets. Additionally, Greatbatch Medical provides assembly and design engineering services for products that incorporate Greatbatch Medical components. The Electrochem segment offers technology solutions. In August 2014, the company acquired CCC Medical Devices (CCC).
