Carbiotix

Carbiotix is a preclinical-stage therapeutic company that harnesses low-cost gut health testing and microbiome modulators to unlock the potential of the gut microbiome in addressing a range of chronic and metabolic diseases. Founded in 2014 based on four years of research from the Department of Biotechnology at Lund University and the Antidiabetic Food Centre (AFC) in Lund, Sweden, the company's second-generation soluble fiber AXOS was selected as a top new ingredient by the Nutrition Capital Network (NCN) in Europe and the United States in 2015. In 2017, Carbiotix began developing its low-cost gut health testing platform, which was launched in 2018 along with a gut health study involving 600 participants.
