Novome Biotechnologies, Inc. is a biotechnology company focused on engineering defined activities into the human gut microbiome to treat chronic diseases. The company has developed the first platform using engineered bacteria to control gut colonization, enabling best-in-class living therapeutics: Genetically Engineered Microbial Medicines (GEMMs). Novome is leveraging its proprietary GEMMs platform in its lead preclinical program for hyperoxaluria, which focuses on developing a therapeutic bacterial strain that degrades oxalate to prevent kidney stone formation. It is also working to expand its proprietary synthetic biology platform to other indications.
