SHANGHAI GENEODX BIOTECHNOLOGY COMPANY LIMITED (hereinafter referred to as "GeneoDx Biotech") is a subsidiary of China National Biotec Group Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as "CNBG"), which belongs to China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "SinoPharm"). GeneoDx Biotech is a diagnostic reagent operating enterprise under CNBG, specializing in the agency and sales of domestic and international medical devices and in vitro diagnostic reagents. The products it represents cover fields such as molecular diagnostics, microbiology, and immunology, with partners including multinational corporations from North America, Europe, Japan, and other countries, as well as domestic manufacturers renowned in their respective professional fields. CNBG's "13th Five-Year Plan" strategic blueprint emphasizes the vigorous development of six core sectors: vaccines, blood products, animal vaccines, diagnostic reagents, medical aesthetics, and antibodies. The in vitro diagnostic reagent sector operated by GeneoDx Biotech is one of the key development areas in the "13th Five-Year Plan," and also the first company to lead the mixed-ownership reform within CNBG, aiming to promote the rapid growth of diagnostic businesses through institutional and mechanism innovations. As the unified operational platform for the medical diagnostics segment within CNBG’s biomedicine and healthcare industry, GeneoDx Biotech integrates trade, manufacturing, and scientific research. It focuses on building a robust sales network and channels to drive industrial development, while leveraging technology introduction and investment mergers to construct a comprehensive large-scale industrial chain for CNBG’s diagnostics sector. In 2017, GeneoDx Biotech successfully secured technical transfer and licensing cooperation projects for Oncgnostics GmbH’s cervical cancer risk assessment methylation test kit from Germany and PathoFinder B.V.’s 2SMART single-tube multiplex nucleic acid test kit from the Netherlands. While acting as an agent for imported test kits, GeneoDx Biotech is also actively preparing to build its own production facilities to localize these testing technologies, manufacture high-quality China-produced products, and better serve public health.
