Catholic Health Initiatives

Catholic Health Initiatives is a non-profit and faith-based health system dedicated to creating and nurturing healthy communities. It is one of the largest non-profit health systems in the United States. CHI operates in 18 states, comprising 99 hospitals, including two academic health centers, major teaching hospitals, and 29 emergency care facilities. It also includes community health service organizations, accredited nursing colleges, home health agencies, living communities, and other facilities and services spanning inpatient and outpatient continuum of care. In fiscal year 2017, CHI provided over $1.2 billion in financial assistance and community benefits for programs and services for the underserved, free clinics, education, and research.
