Developer of Therapeutics for Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases

Basic Information

Histogen Inc. is a clinical-stage therapeutic company focused on developing potential first-class clinical and preclinical small-molecule pan-caspase and caspase-selective inhibitors, primarily for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases. Within our small-molecule pipeline, candidate products include emricasan, CTS-2090, and CTS-2096. Currently, we are evaluating emricasan for its application in bacterial skin infections, including those associated with MRSA, as well as other infectious diseases. We also have preclinical candidates CTS-2090 and CTS-2096, which are novel, potent, orally bioavailable, and highly selective small-molecule caspase-1 inhibitors intended for the treatment of certain inflammatory diseases. Additionally, within our biologics technology platform, our pipeline includes candidates HST-003 and HST-004, with the former being a potential therapeutic for articular cartilage repair and the latter for intervertebral disc repair in the spine.
