Basic Information

Laboratoire CCD was founded in 1964 as an independent French laboratory at the forefront of ethical development, particularly during the introduction of France's "Neuwirth Law" (1967) which legalized contraception. Laboratoire CCD provided spermicides through family planning initiatives. In 1982, when France’s first test-tube baby, Amandine, was born, Laboratoire CCD collaborated with Professor Frydman using his medical equipment for medically assisted reproduction.
