Nano Retina

Nano Retina is an innovative company aiming to restore vision for the blind using advanced nanotechnology. The company is developing a bionic retina, the "Bio-Retina," which can restore vision for patients with degenerative retinal diseases. The Bio-Retina integrates various nano-sized components within a miniature flat implant, about the size of a child’s fingernail bed. Its simple 30-minute implantation process requires local anesthesia, a small incision, and the device is "bonded" onto the damaged retina. The first-generation product is expected to restore vision up to 20/200, while the second generation aims for 20/20 vision, enabling recipients to watch TV and recognize faces. Recovery time is estimated at up to one week.
