Hantech Medical Announces Full Acquisition of BD's (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Villamarzana Plant in Italy. This acquisition includes all assets of the plant, including but not limited to land, buildings, and various advanced production equipment.
BD Company and Hantech Medical simultaneously reached a manufacturing service agreement.According to the agreement, BD will continue to purchase the required products and services from the Villamarzana plant taken over by Hantech, ensuring the continuity and stability of the business cooperation between both parties.
Villamarzana Factory Established in 1973, the Villamarzana factory currently employs 125 people. Covering an area of 49,389 square meters (approximately 74.15 mu), it is equipped with comprehensive production facilities, including a well-operating Class 100,000 cleanroom, laboratories, mold workshops, R&D testing workshops, and warehouses. These advanced facilities provide strong support for efficient production and high-quality products. Notably, the factory excels in key metrics such as safety, compliance, quality, delivery, cost, and team ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), consistently ranking among the industry leaders.
Not only that, but the market performance of the Villamarzana plant has also been remarkable. In 2025, the plant has already received orders worth up to $18.43 million, demonstrating its strong market competitiveness and customer recognition. Geographically, the plant is located in northern Italy, with convenient transportation, about a 45-minute drive from Venice and Bologna, and approximately a 1-hour drive from Mirandola, the world's third-largest medical device cluster, providing it with unique conditions for close connectivity to the global market.
