Pirtobrutinib tablets are a highly selective Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor that employs a novel non-covalent binding mechanism.Can re-establish BTK inhibition and provide sustained benefit in patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) who have previously been treated with covalent BTK inhibitors, effectively addressing the unmet clinical needs of these patients.Pituobutinib was approved by the U.S. FDA in January 2023 and by China's NMPA in October 2024.Approval, as monotherapy for adult patients with relapsed or refractory mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) who have received at least two prior systemic therapies (including BTK inhibitors).
Eli Lilly is conducting multiple Phase 3 clinical trials of pirtobrutinib globally, including in China, for treatment-naïve and relapsed/refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL), as well as relapsed/refractory mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) without prior BTK inhibitor therapy, to explore the potential of monotherapy or combination therapies.
