Recently, the National Medical Products Administration approved the innovative product registration application for APT Medical Inc.'s disposable magnetoelectric positioning pressure monitoring pulsed electric field ablation catheter.
This product is composed of a head end, tube body, handle, connecting cable, and optoelectronic hybrid plug, and is used in conjunction with the cardiac pulse electric field ablation instrument from Shanghai Hongtong Industrial Co., Ltd.
This product adopts pulsed electric field ablation technology, which achieves selective treatment of myocardial cells in lesion areas by controlling the energy of the pulsed electric field, causing irreversible electroporation damage. It effectively reduces ineffective ablation or myocardial perforation during surgery, providing more options for the treatment of drug-refractory, recurrent, symptomatic, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
The drug regulatory department will strengthen the post-marketing supervision of the aforementioned products to ensure patient safety in medical device use.
