$14.6 Billion: Lianyungang’s Small Molecule Drug Sells for Sky-High Price!
On December 18, 2024, Hansoh Pharma and Merck jointly announced that they had signed a global exclusive licensing agreement for HS-10535 (an investigational oral small-molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist). Under the agreement, Hansoh Pharma grants Merck the global exclusive rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize HS-10535. Hansoh Pharma will receive an upfront payment of $112 million and is eligible to receive milestone payments of up to $1.9 billion based on the development, regulatory approval, and commercialization progress of the candidate drug. Additionally, Hansoh Pharma will also receive royalties based on product sales (total cooperation amounting to up to $2.012 billion, approximately RMB 14.66 billion). $6.2 Billion: Another Chinese Pharmaceutical Company Sells Its Pipeline
On December 20, WuXi Biologics and DuoXi Biologics jointly announced a research service collaboration agreement with Aadi Bioscience. Through this partnership, Aadi will obtain the global exclusive rights for the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of three ADC drugs at the preclinical stage. According to the terms of the agreement, Aadi will pay WuXi Biologics and DuoXi Biologics an upfront payment of $44 million, up to $265 million in development milestone payments, $540 million in commercial milestone payments, and single-digit percentage royalties on sales. Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Product Pipeline Progresses Continuously, Multiple Products in Submission Sprint
So far this year, Yangtze River Pharmaceutical has seen continuous progress in its product pipeline: 15 varieties have been approved for production and are considered to have passed the quality evaluation, while six varieties have been submitted for production under the new registration classification. Currently, the company has 169 varieties that have passed or are considered to have passed the quality evaluation (37 of which are first or exclusive), 51 varieties selected in national centralized procurement, multiple varieties achieving significant sales growth, and 17 varieties preparing for the tenth round of centralized procurement. Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau issued the "Announcement on the Tentative Winning Results of the Fifth Batch of Drug Centralized Volume Procurement in Public Medical Institutions in Zhejiang Province," disclosing the tentative winning results of the fifth batch of drug procurement in the province. The announcement period lasts for 7 working days from the date of issuance. The announcement lists 78 tentative winning varieties, including 50 chemical drugs and 28 traditional Chinese medicine specifications.
