MileBot Robotics Nets ¥10M in Series A Financing

According to VCBeat, recently, Shenzhen MileBot Robotics Co., Ltd. ("MileBot Robotics") announced that it had closed a Series A funding round of tens of millions, with participation from Zhuhai Keying Investment, LCIG and Zhejiang Dening Industry Joint Investment. 


Chen Gong, the co-founder and CEO of MileBot Robotics, said that proceeds from the latest round will be mainly used for the development of its core technologies, upgrade of products, market operation and team construction.


Since its establishment in September 2016, MileBot Robotics has completed three rounds of financing. Previously, the company completed the Pre-A round of financing led by Sharing investment with additional support from LCIG in April 2018. 


Founded in 2016 and located in Nanshan Science and Technology Park, Shenzhen, MileBot Robotics was co-founded by Dr. Chen Gong (CEO), Ye Jing (CTO), and Hu Feng (COO). The company focuses on the R&D of exoskeleton robots and human-machine interaction technology, creating an intelligent rehabilitation system, and improving the efficiency of medical treatments of rehabilitation through robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), big data, artificial intelligence (AI) and other technologies.


MileBot Robotics has developed a series of exoskeleton robots to help rehabilitation such as Lower Extremity Rehabilitation Exoskeleton Robot, Hand Rehabilitation Exoskeleton Robot and MoonWalker, etc.


At present, MileBot Robotics launched a walking robot that can be used in daily life to assist people with insufficient hip strength to walk and improve their health and quality of life.


In addition to the R&D of products, MileBot Robotics is also working on intelligent rehabilitation system construction. Through the development and production of various types of exoskeleton robots, the company is committed to expanding the application of robot-assisted rehabilitation training. With the technologies of big data and AI, it plans to gradually build a robot evaluation system corresponding to clinical assessment, and finally realize personalized and precise rehabilitation training.
