Large Comprehensive Pharmaceutical Product Developer

Small Nucleic Acid Drug Developer
SNK-2726, currently in the IND application preparation stage, is a siRNA drug with independent intellectual property rights developed by Synerk. According to the cooperation agreement, both parties will jointly advance the development of SNK-2726 to a certain stage. Meanwhile, Huadong Medicine will obtain an exclusive option and can pay an exercise fee in the future to acquire the exclusive rights for the development, registration, manufacturing, and commercialization of SNK-2726 in Greater China. After Huadong Medicine exercises the option, Synerk will be entitled to receive subsequent R&D milestone payments and sales milestone payments, as well as tiered royalties based on net sales after commercialization.
Synerk CEO Dr. Lan Tao stated:"We are very honored to cooperate with Huadong Medicine. The corporate philosophy of Huadong Medicine, 'research-based and patient-centered', aligns perfectly with our mission to 'transform patients' lives'. This collaboration further validates the potential of Synerk's GalNexus siRNA drug platform. Through this synergistic cooperation where 1+1>2, we are hopeful to jointly accelerate the development of novel drugs and bring new treatment options to patients."
Lü Liang, Chairman and General Manager of Huadong Medicine, said:"We are delighted to reach this strategic cooperation with Synerk to jointly develop the siRNA innovative drug SNK-2726. Synerk owns a novel nucleic acid drug R&D technology platform with independent intellectual property rights, while Huadong Medicine has deep expertise in innovative drug development, particularly rich experience in clinical and commercialization of cardiovascular drugs. In the future, we will work together with Synerk to accelerate the development of SNK-2726, aiming to benefit more patients with hypertension as soon as possible."
About SNK-2726
Synerk's proprietary siRNA drug SNK-2726 is a subcutaneously injectable RNAi therapeutic targeting angiotensinogen (AGT), currently in the preparation phase for IND submission for the treatment of hypertension. AGT is the most upstream precursor in the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), and circulatory AGT primarily originates from the liver. Inhibiting AGT production can effectively block the RAAS pathway, regulating blood pressure. Preclinical study results show that SNK-2726 significantly suppresses AGT synthesis in the liver with long-lasting effects, leading to a sustained reduction in AGT protein levels, ultimately achieving a blood pressure-lowering effect.
