Innovative Transcatheter Mitral Valve Clip Product DragonFly™
The DragonFly™ Transcatheter Mitral Valve Clip System is the world's third mitral valve treatment product based on the TEER principle, and also China's first domestically produced product of its kind. It features innovative design and has achieved multiple technical optimizations and upgrades, receiving support from the "14th Five-Year Plan" National Key Research and Development Program.
DragonFly™ was approved to enter the NMPA Innovative Medical Device Special Review Process in March 2021; officially approved in China in November 2023 as the first domestically produced transcatheter mitral valve clip system via femoral vein access; completed the first implantation post-market in China in January 2024; and successfully enrolled the first patient in a confirmatory clinical trial in Europe in February 2024, marking a pioneering milestone for domestically produced transcatheter mitral regurgitation treatment devices in Europe. To date, multiple confirmatory clinical enrollments have been successfully completed across Europe, including Spain, Russia, and Italy, with successful expansion into 10 major medical centers across seven countries in Europe and the United States.
