Recently, the 2024 Greater Bay Area Strategic Emerging Industry Leading Enterprises and the Fourth Greater Bay Area Strategic Emerging Industry "Pioneering Figures" and "Young Leaders" selection results were officially announced. Dr. Tan Yan, co-founder and CEO of Xbiome, and 19 other entrepreneurs were recognized."Young Leader" in the strategic emerging industries of the Greater Bay Area.

The organizer noted that Dr. Tan Yan, as an expert in the Think Tank of the Party Committee of Shenzhen's Synthetic Biology Industry Innovation Chain, has adhered to and practiced the original mission of "using micro-ecology to safeguard human health." Leading Xbiome, he built a leading AI+BT microbiome research and industrial transformation platform within just one year of the company’s establishment. He successfully advanced four innovative microbiome drugs into clinical stages, two of which have entered Phase II clinical trials in China and the U.S., with drug development progress at the forefront of the industry. Additionally, Dr. Tan Yan led the Xbiome team to facilitate strategic cooperation with global pharmaceutical and health enterprises such as Mead Johnson China, IFF, Aurealis, and ZoHealth. This has strongly promoted the industrialization and globalization of human gut microbiome research in China.
