On January 14, Neo Modulus (Suzhou) Medical Sci-Tech Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Neo Modulus"), a leading company in regenerative medicine materials in China, announced the completion of a nearly 300 million yuan C-round financing. The round was led by Shenzhen Capital Group's New Materials Fund for Manufacturing Transformation and Upgrading, with participation from some existing shareholders and management.

In March last year, the company completed a Series B round of financing worth hundreds of millions of yuan, jointly invested by SND Holdings, Junmao Capital, CDH Investments, Huiding Investment, Yiling Capital, Junlan Capital, Nuowei Venture Capital, and SND Investment.

Tianyancha shows that Neo Modulus was founded in March 2017 by a team of Chinese and German scientists led by a recipient of China's National Major Talent Project. It is an innovative enterprise specializing in the research, development, production, and commercialization of regenerative implantable medical devices. Since its establishment, the company has completed six rounds of financing.

The company focuses on the development of bionic organ manufacturing and preparation technology, creating a series of nanoscale tissue engineering scaffold products that induce directional cell differentiation and growth, stimulate the body's regenerative potential, achieve complex tissue regeneration and organ reconstruction, and build an all-around human body 4S shop. Currently, it has four major R&D and production bases in Suzhou, Weifang, Taicang, and Shanghai, as well as an overseas laboratory in Freiburg, Germany, with a total cleanroom area exceeding 30,000 square meters.

The company has successively introduced technologies from the University of Freiburg in Germany, Donghua University, and the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to develop a layout for more than 20 implantable medical device products that achieve periodontal soft tissue augmentation and cartilage tissue regeneration. The company's product line covers multiple mainstream technical routes in the field of tissue engineering globally, including electrospinning, 3D printing, chemical synthesis, physical construction, extraction and purification, and decellularization. These products come in various forms such as membranes, bones, gels, agents, and microspheres, extending to multiple clinical departments including dentistry, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, and sports medicine.

In 2024, Neo Modulus' innovative medical device, the Neosprout Nasal Hemostatic Sponge, successively received CE MDR and FDA approval for market release, demonstrating that this innovative product has achieved internationally high standards in both efficacy and safety. Multiple innovative medical devices from the company are concurrently undergoing overseas registration and market promotion, advancing "Made in China" regenerative medicine materials to a global audience.
