Biopharmaceutical and Nutritional Product R&D and Sales

JPM is one of the largest annual events in the global healthcare field. At this JPM conference, BMS outlined the company's future strategy and development, aiming to achieve sustained top-tier growth by the end of this decade. The focus is on transformative drugs in areas with competitive advantages, driving operational excellence and allocating capital appropriately.
Notably, in 2025, BMS will face a patent crisis with Revlimid (lenalidomide), Pomalyst (pomalidomide), and Sprycel (dasatinib), particularly with Revlimid. BMS anticipates that Revlimid’s sales in 2025 will drop to between $2 billion and $2.5 billion, representing a minimum decline of 42%.
However, BMS has five major "star products" — Obenfy, Opdivo, Reblozyl, Breyanzi, and Camzyos — which are expected to account for half of the company's revenue by 2025. In particular, the schizophrenia drug Cobenfy (KarXT) got off to a good start in 2024, with peak sales projected to reach several billion dollars, making it one of BMS's key growth products.
BMS CEO Chris Boerner stated: "BMS expects to launch 10 new drugs and obtain 30 new indications for existing drugs over the next five years."
