2025
Russia, Moscow——2025 XVI MICHS Conference Concludes SuccessfullyAs one of the most authoritative international scientific and medical platforms in the field of cardiology, the conference attracted top experts in the cardiovascular field from around the world to discuss cutting-edge technologies and innovative achievements in the industry. During the conference,Valgen Medtech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Valgen Medtech") showcased two of its products with great impact — the DragonFly™ Transcatheter Mitral Valve Clip System and the DragonFly-T Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Clip System, demonstrating China's outstanding innovation capabilities in the global interventional treatment field of structural heart disease.
From Precise Implantation to Independent Capture
Jointly Witness the Performance Operation of DragonFly™

Surgery inUnder the support of Professor Wang Shouzheng from Professor Pan Xiangbin's team at Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and the National Medical Research Center of Cardiology, Ministry of Health of Russia(Federal State Budgetary Organization National Cardiology Research Center Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation)Completed by the authoritative expert Professor Imaev's team. Utilizing China's powerful tool DragonFly™, a high-standard treatment was successfully performed on a patient with mitral valve prolapse and severe regurgitation under zero contrast agent, zero radiation, and pure ultrasound-guided intervention, igniting the academic atmosphere.`, winning widespread acclaim.`
The patient is an elderly female. Echocardiography indicated: aortic valve stenosis, mitral valve prolapse (mainly P3 zone prolapse) with severe regurgitation. The operation went smoothly, with a puncture height of 4.6 cm. A XW0612 type mitral valve clip was implanted in the 3 zone, and all prolapses were resolved after clipping; reflux was minimal, pulmonary vein retrograde flow disappeared, and the postoperative transvalvular pressure gradient was 2 mmHg. The patient's cardiac function significantly improved.

Professor Wang Shouzheng from Professor Pan Xiangbin's team at Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, presented a brilliant showcase of the breakthrough research and advancements made by the center's structural heart team. Among the highlights, the DragonFly™ Transcatheter Mitral Valve Clip System received significant attention from the attending experts.Professor Wang Shouzheng conducted a comprehensive and in-depth analysis from multiple dimensions, including the design concept of the device, technological innovation, clinical application outcomes, and improvements in patient prognosis. He emphasized that the DragonFly™ system has demonstrated significant advantages in clinical practice due to its excellent performance and ease of operation. This innovative achievement undoubtedly opens up a new path for the treatment of mitral valve disease globally, earning high praise and sparking enthusiastic discussions among the experts present.
The DragonFly™ Transcatheter Mitral Valve Clip System is the world's third mitral valve treatment product based on the TEER (Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Repair) principle, and also China's first domestically produced product of its kind. It features innovative design and incorporates multiple technical optimizations and upgrades.Since its approval in China in November 2023, DragonFly™ has rapidly advanced onto the international stage, completing the first confirmatory clinical enrollment in Europe in February 2024. This marked a pioneering step for a Chinese-produced transcatheter mitral valve treatment product entering the European market. Currently, DragonFly™ has successfully completed multiple confirmatory clinical enrollments across Europe, with cases spanning Spain, Russia, Italy, and other regions, extending its reach to 10 leading medical centers across seven countries in Europe and the U.S. It has become a benchmark product in the internationalization of Chinese medical devices.
From Data Argumentation to Market Prospects
Unique Elegance of DragonFly-T

In the highly competitive and rapidly evolving cardiac intervention market, the current implementation of simple tricuspid valve surgeries is relatively limited in China. Therefore, transcatheter tricuspid valve treatment has emerged as an effective solution for addressing tricuspid regurgitation. The DragonFly-T Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Clamp System stands out among many similar products due to its cutting-edge design innovations.Professor Xiaodong Zhuang from the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University shared the technical features of DragonFly-T and its application prospects in the T-TEER (Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Edge-to-Edge Repair) field with international peers during the conference's special lecture session. The presentation covered multiple dimensions, including tricuspid valve pathology analysis, evidence-based medical data, and the current status of interventional treatment.
DragonFly-T shares the same technical platform as DragonFly™ and offers several advantages in product performance design. The system is stable, has a short learning curve for operation, comprehensively meets various clinical needs, and helps patients achieve better prognostic outcomes.
1) The unique occlusion mesh design of the tricuspid valve clip center can further reduce central regurgitation, decrease leaflet stress, and prevent leaflet damage.
2) A stable transmission mechanical structure system makes the closure of the tricuspid valve clip more stable and reliable, greatly enhancing the safety of the surgery;
3) The function of capturing the valve leaflets separately can grasp each leaflet individually, capable of addressing complex anatomical structural lesions.
4) Optimized delivery system design ensures smooth instrument delivery and convenient operation, while incorporating an ergonomically designed operating handle.
Professor Zhuang Xiaodong pointed out that the two patients in this trial were both elderly and had multiple comorbidities, posing surgical risk factors. Despite stable treatment with diuretics, they still developed symptomatic tricuspid regurgitation. Postoperatively, the patients showed significant reduction in regurgitation, and the one-month follow-up indicated stable treatment outcomes without device-related adverse events. These results provide strong support for the safety and efficacy of the DragonFly-T trial.
