Public information shows that Chen Jian worked at the Wuhan Institute for Drug Control in Hubei earlier in his career. In 1996, he chose to leave the system and join Xi'an Janssen, which was gaining momentum at the time.Xian Janssen is known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" of China's pharmaceuticals industry, where many executives of multinational pharmaceutical companies have launched their careers.
