▍GSK Appoints Mix as National Business Leader in China

On February 17, GSK China's Respiratory Business Unit announced a personnel change. Effective immediately, Luo Xiaoyun (Jocelyn Luo) was appointed as the head of Mix's nationwide business in China, leading the Mix team and reporting directly to Yu Jin Yi (Westly Yu), head of the Respiratory Business Unit.

Before joining GSK, Luo Xiaoyun was the Senior Director of Business Innovation and Regional Markets at Sanofi Pasteur.

Luo Xiaoyun graduated from the Clinical Medicine program at Xiamen University. After graduation, she worked at Johnson & Johnson and Novartis, starting as a pharmaceutical representative for the cardiovascular product line and eventually being promoted to Senior Sales Director for Northern China for Novartis' Cosentyx. She later served as the Northern Regional Senior Sales Director and Senior Director of Business Innovation and Regional Marketing at Sanofi Pasteur.

▍Abbott Diagnostics China Changes Leadership

On February 14, an Abbott Diagnostics personnel announcement circulated in the industry. Fanny Chen, Global Vice President of Abbott Core Diagnostics and General Manager of Abbott Greater China Core Diagnostics Business, will retire from Abbott and return to the United States to be with her family.

Chen Ying graduated from the accounting program at DePaul University in the United States. After graduation, she worked as a tax consultant and business advisor in the U.S. In 1998, she joined Sealed Air Corporation's Shanghai branch as the vice president, managing three offices in China and overseeing finance, procurement, and other operations.

In 2001, Chen Ying returned to the United States and joined Abbott, beginning a career spanning over 20 years at Abbott, holding positions such as Procurement Manager, Regional Finance Leader, Director of Global Procurement for Emerging Markets, and Senior Director of Global Procurement.

In August 2011, Chen Ying was appointed as the General Manager of Abbott Nutrition's Supply Chain and Operations Development in China, returning to Shanghai. Five years later, she was appointed as the Vice President of Supply Chain and Strategic Relations for Abbott Nutrition's Greater China Division.

In March 2022, Chen Jianzhong, Vice President of Abbott's Core Diagnostics business, stepped down, and Chen Ying became the successor to lead the Core Diagnostics business in China.

▍Yu Bing Resigns from Bcht Biotechnology

On February 15, Changchun Bcht Biotechnology Co. announced that the company's board of directors had recently received a written resignation report from Yu Bing, a non-independent director and vice general manager of the company. Due to personal reasons, Yu Bing applied to resign from the positions of director of the sixth board of directors and vice general manager. After resigning from the above positions, Yu Bing will no longer hold any position in the company, and his resignation report will take effect from the date it is delivered to the company's board of directors.

Changchun Bcht Biotechnology Co. stated in the announcement that during Yu Bing's tenure, he was mainly responsible for the company's marketing-related work. As of the date of the announcement, this work has been properly handed over, the marketing team is operating normally, and Yu Bing's departure will not have an adverse impact on the company's production and operation.

▍He Ruyi Appointed as Chief Medical Officer of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group

On February 18, He Ruyi, former chief scientist of the National Medical Products Administration's Center for Drug Evaluation, confirmed to Interface News that he had joined Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group as Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Previously, on February 6, Rongchang Bio announced that He Ruyi had resigned.

In fact, Rongchang Pharmaceuticals is the first company He Ruyi joined after devoting himself to China's biopharmaceutical industry. His career moves have consistently drawn significant attention in the industry because of his background as a doctor and his work experience with drug regulatory authorities in both China and the U.S., making him a well-known expert in the clinical evaluation and approval of drugs.

During his tenure at Rongchang Pharmaceuticals, Hé Rúyì once helped the company advance the overseas expansion of its innovative drugs. Unlike Rongchang Pharmaceuticals, which is a biotech company focusing on innovative biologics, Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, in people's minds, is a traditional big pharma.
