On February 27, GE Healthcare announced that Zhang Yihao, President and CEO of GE Healthcare China, will retire on July 1. Song Weiqun, who has worked at Johnson & Johnson for over 20 years, will join the company on April 1, 2025, and officially assume the position on July 1.

Song Weiqun
Song Weiqun joined Johnson & Johnson in 2003, served as the General Manager of Johnson & Johnson Medical’s Surgical Division in 2012, became the President of Johnson & Johnson Medical China in 2015, and from 2018 to 2024 held the position of Chairman of Johnson & Johnson China.
In December 2020, awarded the honorary title of "2020 Shanghai Model Worker"; in December 2022, ranked on the "Interface News 2022 Annual CEO List of Multinational Corporations in China"; in October 2023, selected for the 2023 Forbes China Top 100 Most Influential Overseas Chinese Elite list.

Zhang Yihao
Zhang Yihao joined GE Healthcare in 2019. During his tenure as Global Executive Vice President of GE Healthcare, President and CEO of GE Healthcare China, he was primarily responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and operations of GE Healthcare in the Chinese market.
In September 2021, awarded the 2021 Shanghai "Magnolia Memorial Award"; In January 2025, selected as the 2024 Cover Figure Annual CEO by China Newsweek.
GE Healthcare has thus embarked on the journey of "full local production" in China. In the past five years, the proportion of locally produced products and services in GE Healthcare China's sales revenue has increased from 30% to 80%.
Since 2024, GE Healthcare has shown an accelerating trend in its investments in China. In May 2024, GE Healthcare announced an investment of 380 million yuan for cooperation in introducing new products to its Shanghai base. Last year, GE Healthcare also built two new factories in Chengdu and Shenzhen for localized production in China.
