Gelonghui March 5th | Novo Nordisk announced the launch of NovoCare Pharmacy services, offering the weight-loss drug Wegovy to self-paying patients for $499 per month. This program aims to assist uninsured patients or those whose insurance plans do not cover weight-loss medications. This move comes after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced on February 21st that Novo Nordisk's Wegovy and Ozempic were no longer in shortage, a statement that is expected to curb the widespread sale of cheaper generic versions produced by compounding pharmacies.
