XTAL Tech and MIIT Center for SME Development Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement to Empower Diverse Industries with AI and Accelerate Cluster Upgrading
To deeply implement the national work deployment of artificial intelligence empowering new industrialization, and effectively enhance the capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in applying cutting-edge artificial intelligence and robotics technologies, the SME Development Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (hereinafter referred to as the Center) has reached a strategic cooperation with XtalPi. Both parties will collaborate to carry out the "Artificial Intelligence+" initiative, driving continuous innovation through frontier technologies, integrating common technologies to meet industrial implementation needs, promoting the deep integration of artificial intelligence and robotics technologies with traditional industries, jointly fostering future industries, and contributing to the high-quality development of China's economy. Recently, the Strategic Cooperation Signing Ceremony between XtalPi and the Center was held in Beijing. Weng Qiwen, Director of the Center, and Ma Jian, CEO of XtalPi, attended the event and signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. This marks a new attempt by the Center to collaborate with private technology enterprises using cutting-edge technologies to meet industrial demands. Leveraging the Center’s service network covering 31 provincial platforms and 169 prefecture-level platforms, as well as the system's national, provincial, municipal, and county-level network comprising over 1,780 public service institutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), XtalPi’s AI models tailored for specific vertical industries are expected to more efficiently provide SMEs spread across various sectors with more effective, intelligent, and sustainable solutions. Together, they aim to build technological moats, enhance core competitiveness, and continuously stimulate the development vitality and innovative potential of SMEs. Through this collaboration, the two parties will leverage XtalPi's innovative capabilities that integrate cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and robotics, along with its experience in industrial application. They will fully utilize their respective strengths in research, industry, talent, data, and other fields to create a two-way link between industry needs and technological frontiers. This will continuously drive the deep integration of artificial intelligence and robotics technologies across various industries, promote the process of new industrialization, and support high-quality industrial development. On the one hand, relying on XtalPi's self-developed AI robotic drug research and development platform technology, the two parties will integrate the new technical paradigm of AI + experimental automation to help more small and medium-sized enterprises in the biopharmaceutical, chemical new materials, consumer goods, and other industries enhance their digital capabilities. This collaboration aims to promote the implementation of AI-powered smart manufacturing technologies across a broader range of industrial fields, assisting small and medium-sized enterprises in achieving technological leaps and scale expansion. On the other hand, the two parties will cooperate to build an innovation and development empowerment platform for small and medium-sized enterprises, focusing on industrial clusters across China, with an emphasis on niche industries such as cosmetics and consumer goods, biomedicine, advanced new materials, and agricultural technology. By leveraging artificial intelligence and automation technologies, they aim to break through traditional R&D paradigms, incubate innovative products, and promote the intelligent transformation and upgrading of industries. A dynamic understanding and practice of the relationship between cutting-edge technologies and economic development are profoundly significant for exploring how artificial intelligence drives economic growth and expands industry application scenarios. XtalPi has pioneered breakthroughs in multiple specific scenarios within the biopharmaceutical industry by leveraging quantum physics, artificial intelligence, robotic experiments, and other technologies, and is now applying these innovations across various future industry scenarios such as new materials and renewable energy. In the future, the two parties will focus on the integration and innovation of artificial intelligence technology and product applications, reshape the underlying logic of traditional industrial development with AI robot industrial intelligence, promote the development of future industries, and jointly build a collaborative ecosystem for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises based on the common innovative needs of industrial clusters. They will also use artificial intelligence technology to reconstruct the operating logic of industrial clusters and drive the digitalization of industrial clusters. At the signing ceremony, the "Qingfeng Rongzhi" youth cadre in-depth research on artificial intelligence industry learning event was held concurrently. Dr. Ma Jian, CEO of XtalPi, Dr. Lai Libo, Chief Innovation Officer, and Dr. Zhang Peiyu, Chief Scientific Officer, engaged in in-depth discussions with over 40 young cadres from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Department of Science and Technology and related centers on topics such as "The Development and Competitive Trends of Super Artificial Intelligence," "Exploration of Super Intelligent Agent Application Scenarios," and "AI Empowering the Frontiers of Future Chemistry and Materials." The SME Development and Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (China SME Development and Promotion Center) is the only comprehensive service agency at the national level in China dedicated to promoting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In 1986, the center was officially established under the warm care of elder statesmen such as former Premier Zhu Rongji. Over the past three decades, the center has carried out extensive work in supporting the competent authorities for SME-related affairs, establishing and improving SME service systems across China, and promoting international exchange and cooperation for SMEs. It has now become the leader of SME service systems in China.
