Gelonghui March 26 | The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on Tuesday the approval of GSK's new oral antibiotic for the treatment of uncomplicated urinary tract infections. This approval is one of the five major products that the company plans to launch this year. GSK anticipates that the antibiotic, which will be marketed under the brand name Blujep, along with two other anti-infective drugs currently in development, will generate annual sales of up to £2 billion (approximately $2.6 billion).
