Former FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb Appointed Non-Executive Chairman of Illumina Board

Dr. Scott Gottlieb was appointed as a member of the Illumina Board of Directors in February 2020.Dr. Gottlieb is a medical doctor who served as the 23rd Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) from 2017 to 2019.He is currently a partner at the venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates and a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research. He also serves on the boards of the publicly traded Pfizer, Inc. and TempusAI, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Mount Sinai health system’s board. Dr. Gottlieb is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine.

Keith Meister is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Corvex Management LP, which was founded in December 2010. Mr. Meister currently serves as a board member of companies such as MGM Resorts, GeneDx, and Vestis.He is the Chairman of the Board of Harlem Children's Zone and a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Museum of Natural History.
