This significant progress not only helps improve patient access to breakthrough therapies but also reflects Eli Lilly's exploration and practice in supporting China’s efforts to promote a diversified payment system and optimize the pathway for innovative drug coverage, striving to bring innovative medicines to more patients in China.
"Suixin Bao" Series of Commercial Health Insurance: As part of the Guangzhou municipal government’s ongoing efforts to build an open, multi-layered medical security system, a collaborative mechanism involving government facilitation, hospital participation, and commercial insurance operation has been established. This initiative strongly supports the integration and supplementation of commercial health insurance with the basic medical insurance system. As an innovative commercial health insurance product guided by the Guangzhou municipal government and operated by insurance institutions, "Suixin Bao" aims to effectively bridge policy coordination and market mechanisms, filling gaps in areas not adequately covered by basic medical insurance—particularly playing a crucial supplementary role in providing coverage for high-value innovative drugs and medical devices. Jienengda®(Donanemab Injection) has been approved by the China National Medical Products Administration for the treatment of mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer's disease and mild dementia of Alzheimer's disease in adults.
