On March 28, Eisai Co., Ltd. announced that it had transferred the rights to the proton pump inhibitor Pariet® (brand name: Pariet, generic name: Rabeprazole Sodium Enteric-Coated Tablets) in China to Beijing Peak Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which is controlled by CBC Group.Peak Pharmaceuticals). Peak Pharmaceuticals has begun sales activities, while Eisai will manage the transfer of production and marketing authorization during the transition period.
According to the terms of the agreement,Eisai to Receive Contract Advance Payment of 725 Million RMB (Approx. 15.7 Billion JPY), as well as the right to receive sales milestone payments. The upfront payment has been recorded in Eisai's third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. Eisai expects that the consolidated financial forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, will remain unchanged. Pariet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) discovered and developed by Eisai, which has been approved in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. Pariet was approved in China in 2000 for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases such as gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, and reflux esophagitis. Eisai believes that with the conclusion of this agreement, C-Bridge Capital’s proven "investor-operator" approach and commitment to providing high-quality medical services to a broad patient population will maximize the value of Pariet in China.

This agreement will enable Eisai to strategically reallocate resources to other medium- and long-term business growth areas, in order to continue making further contributions to meeting the diverse needs of patients and their families, and increasing the benefits provided to them.
