April 1,According to foreign media Fierce Biotech reports,Sanofi announces that Christopher Corsico, M.D., has left GSK to become Sanofi's Global Head of Development,Reporting to Dr. Houman Ashrafian, Executive Vice President of Research and Development at Sanofi, effective immediately.

According to an internal company communication obtained by Fierce Biotech, members of the Sanofi team were informed of this news on March 31.
The position has been vacant since early 2025.Because the former global R&D head and Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. Dietmar Berger, was poached by Gilead Sciences.Currently, Sanofi has not announced the follow-up arrangements for the CMO position.
Before joining Sanofi,Corsico served as Senior Vice President and Global Development Head at GlaxoSmithKline PLC (GSK) for more than six years.Earlier, he worked at Boehringer Ingelheim for more than 20 years, holding various positions, including Chief Medical Officer.
