April 22,"AI Empowered, Smart Innovation for the Future" Academic Seminar of the Young Top Scientists Yibin Symposium Held at Yibin Business CenterThis event was hosted by the Yibin Science and Technology Bureau and the Sanjiang New Area Management Committee, and organized by the Sanjiang New Area Science and Innovation Bureau, DP Technology (Yibin) Co., Ltd., and the Yibin Science and Technology Talent Co., Ltd. At the conference, seven top young scientists focused on core fields such as artificial intelligence + power batteries, crystalline silicon photovoltaics, next-generation energy batteries, perovskite solar cells, intelligent equipment, intelligent inspection, and intelligent systems. They explored methods and pathways for deep integration of artificial intelligence in scientific research under the new paradigm of AI for Science. This promotes cross-disciplinary integration of industry, academia, and research, accelerates technological breakthroughs, and advances the transformation of results and ecosystem construction.

Yibin is an important base for China's new energy and new materials industries, while DP Technology is a benchmark enterprise in the global AI for Science field. As the fruit of deep cooperation between Yibin City and DP Technology, since the announcement at the end of last year regarding the joint establishment of Yibin's New Energy and New Materials Digital Intelligence Innovation Center, the center has quickly defined its mission as "technological innovation, industrial empowerment, and talent development," striving to build a strategic development direction that fosters a deeply integrated industry-academia-research ecosystem loop.

The Innovation Center uses cross-scale physical modeling, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing as foundational tools to build an automated intelligent laboratory for new energy and new materials. It constructs a database and knowledge base of intrinsic material relationships covering "composition-microstructure-process-properties." Based on forward-looking technology research in the field of new energy and new materials, it addresses key common scientific and technological issues, develops innovative algorithms and software for new energy and new materials, and bridges the gap between cutting-edge scientific research achievements and industrial innovation development. Utilizing the AI for Science large model system, the center co-builds a "Common R&D Platform for the New Energy Industry" through the “1+1+1” model: one new energy battery materials R&D center, one new energy materials database, and one dry-wet closed-loop joint laboratory. With a focus on Yibin, targeting Southwest China, and radiating throughout the country, it provides technical services to companies in the new energy and new materials industrial chain.

At the event, to advocate for "industry-research integration and ecological sharing," and promote the widespread adoption and empowerment applications of common technology service platforms,DP Technology (Yibin) Co., Ltd. "Bohr" Scientific Research Space StationIt is the flagship research platform developed by DP Technology, a global leader in AI for Science. "I hope that not only teams like DP Technology, but also more upstream instrument and equipment manufacturers or ecosystems of various types will flourish in Yibin in the future," said Zhang Linfeng during his keynote speech. "Through this event, on one hand, we can all brainstorm together and explore how to fully integrate AI with all aspects of energy materials; on the other hand, more crucially, it is about empowering the 'Read + Compute + Execute' system comprehensively with AI, and truly completing the journey from fundamental innovation to the last mile."

Zhang Linfeng pointed out: For universities, "AI Read-Calculate-Do" corresponds to the literature center, computing center, and experimental center, as well as teaching and talent cultivation; for a company, it corresponds to the IT department, R&D department, and testing department. Therefore, for every organization, it represents a horizontal change. "Ultimately, our product form has evolved into a library, teaching building, computing center, and experimental center. The modules of these parts are continuously and rapidly iterating, which is exactly the work we are doing now."

Zhang Linfeng looks forward to the day, "By next year, which will mark the 100th anniversary of the proposal of the Schrödinger equation, and given that Bohr himself was a physicist, we hope that regardless of the problem, everyone can at least find better answers within the Bohr Space Station and AI for Science."
