On April 24, METiS TechBio (METiS Pharmaceuticals) established the firstScientific Advisory CommitteeAnd held the first meeting.

Four internationally renowned experts in the field of life sciences have become founding members of the METiS TechBio Scientific Advisory Board:
  • Dr. Kerry Blanchard: Co-founder of Perpetual Medicines, a peptide therapy and AI computing platform R&D innovation company, and has served as a member of the board of directors of Eli Lilly China, co-chair of the investment committee of Eli Lilly Asia Fund, chief scientific officer of Innovent Biologics, and chief executive officer of Everest Medicines. Dr. Blanchard has over 18 years of leadership experience in drug research and development and external drug collaboration at Eli Lilly, and is one of the earliest American scientists to come to and establish roots in China. Previously, Dr. Blanchard served as a tenured professor of medicine, biochemistry, and molecular biology at Louisiana State University in the United States.
  • Dr. Jacques Banchereau: Chief Innovation Officer of Georgiamune, a rising biotech company in the field of immunotherapy. Previously served as Senior Vice President at Roche Pharmaceuticals and Head of Inflammation & Virology Discovery and Translation, Chief Scientific Officer at Javelin Biotech, a biotech company developing human tissue chip platforms, and Chief Scientific Officer at Immunai, a biotech company mapping the immune system. Dr. Banchereau is an internationally renowned immunologist and molecular biologist who collaborated with Nobel Prize laureate in Physiology or Medicine, Ralph M. Steinman, to drive breakthroughs in dendritic cell research and is one of the most highly cited scholars in the global immunotherapy field. Dr. Banchereau has also served as Professor and Director of Immunological Sciences at The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine and as a Guest Professor of Immunobiology at Yale School of Medicine.
  • Dr. Eric Rowinsky: Director and advisor of Biogen, a globally leading biotechnology company in complex and difficult-to-treat diseases; renowned international expert in oncology drug development; former Executive Chairman of Inspirna, a biotech company specializing in innovative cancer drug research and development; previously Chief Medical Officer of several cutting-edge innovative biotech companies, including Stemline Therapeutics, a biotech company focused on cancer stem cell therapy, Primrose Therapeutics, a startup dedicated to polycystic kidney disease treatment, and ImClone Systems, an innovator in oncology biopharmaceuticals. Dr. Rowinsky has also served at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and been a visiting professor at New York University.
  • Dr. Virginia Pascual: The inaugural director of the Drukier Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine, recipient of the Lupus Research Alliance Global Team Science Award. Dr. Pascual currently leads multiple national research projects in the United States, including the NIH-funded U19 Center of Excellence for Autoimmunity and the NIAMP50 Translational Research Center.
