More than five months after announcing that its weight-loss drug tirzepatide had head-to-head defeated Novo Nordisk's semaglutide, the multinational pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly publicly released detailed data from the head-to-head trial. On May 12, Eli Lilly announced the detailed results of the SURMOUNT-5 study. The study showed that at week 72, tirzepatide met the primary endpoint and all five key secondary endpoints, demonstrating superiority over semaglutide throughout the trial. (The Paper)
