AI Biotech Firm Juvenescence Secures $76M in B-1 Round to Advance Anti-Aging Therapeutics

On May 21, Juvenescence, a clinical-stage artificial intelligence biotechnology company, announced that it had secured $76 million in the first close of its B-1 round led by cornerstone investor M42, with follow-on investments from existing investors.The second tranche of the B-1 round is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025. This financing will enable Juvenescence to continue advancing its therapeutic portfolio into clinical development and provide critical clinical readouts for its core drug pipeline.

M42's investment is part of a broader strategic partnership aimed at identifying and developing a series of AI-based treatments to extend healthy lifespan and advance therapies for life-threatening diseases. Juvenescence and M42 will establish a leading drug development center in Abu Dhabi, led by an unparalleled team, to build a pipeline of treatments focused on extending healthy lifespan.

Leveraging M42's deep expertise in digital healthcare data, genomics, bioanalysis, and its clinical trial infrastructure, along with Juvenescence's cutting-edge AI discovery technology and extensive drug development expertise, this collaboration will drive breakthroughs in therapeutic development, enhance the understanding of diseases, and enable the fast-tracking of clinical development.

In addition to identifying new drug targets and therapeutic approaches, the partnership will also explore collaborations in R&D with leading academic and research institutions in the UAE and globally, supporting Abu Dhabi's broader life sciences strategy. A joint steering committee composed of senior executives from both companies will oversee the implementation of this partnership.
