On April 15, 2025, the clinical trial application (IND) for YJH-012, a novel siRNA drug jointly developed by YOUJIA BIO and Livzon Pharmaceutical, has been accepted by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). YJH-012For gout with hyperuricemia, unlike traditional drugs that inhibit enzyme activity to block uric acid synthesis, a breakthrough mechanism has been achieved that suppresses uric acid production at the genetic level for long-term efficacy. This offers the potential for a more effective, safer, and thorough solution in clinical practice. (IND Application No.: CXHL2500386).
YJH-012 is planned to initiate Phase I clinical research after approval, using an abdominal subcutaneous injection regimen administered once every 3 or 6 months, to evaluate its safety and efficacy in humans. The future will also explore the drug's potential in gout prevention and combination therapy with other uric acid-lowering medications, offering patients better options.
