Recently, the announcement was made that Ian Dai, Vice President of Johnson & Johnson Medical Technology China and Chief Digital Officer, has resigned. According to a statement by Johnson & Johnson Medical Technology, Dai Ying submitted his resignation to the company, seeking external development opportunities, with his last working day being June 30.

Dai Ying joined Johnson & Johnson Medical Technology China in April 2022, assuming his current position. Prior to this, he served at GE Healthcare for over 20 years. After joining GE Healthcare in 1998, he held various management roles and, starting from 2010, successively served as Chief Technology Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, General Manager of the R&D Center, and Chief Innovation Officer of GE Healthcare China.

Teleflex

Medical device giant Teleflex announced that Chen Xi will officially assume the position of Managing Director of Teleflex China on May 26, 2025. The former Managing Director of Teleflex China, Eric Shan, resigned for personal reasons in February this year, with the last working day being February 28, 2025. Chen Xi graduated from Harvard University in the United States with a Ph.D. in Immunology. Prior to joining Teleflex, he held positions at well-known companies such as AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson Medical, BD Medical, and McKinsey. He will be fully responsible for profit and loss management in the China region, oversee Teleflex's business operations in China, and lead strategic transformation.

UK pharmaceutical giant GSK recently announced a key personnel appointment: the recruitment of Dr. Sanjay Gurunathan, a senior executive from Sanofi, as the head of the Vaccines and Infectious Diseases R&D department. This news was officially announced by Gurunathan himself on LinkedIn this week, marking that GSK, amidst challenges in its vaccine business, is reshaping its R&D strategy by introducing top external talent.

Roche

Starting from May 31, Wang Biye, Deputy General Manager and Head of Administration of Shanghai Roche Pharmaceuticals Ltd., will conclude his term at Roche and return to Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding Co., Ltd. Wang Biye began his tenure at Roche on March 1, 2021, nominated by Shanghai Pharmaceuticals and appointed by the board of directors. Shanghai Pharmaceuticals is the Chinese joint venture partner of Shanghai Roche Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Merck & Co.

Recently, Merck announced that after leading Merck China for four years, Anna Tian, President of Merck China, will officially step down to take on a key management role in the Strategic Programs of the Human Health Division. The position of President of Merck China will be succeeded by Kyle Tattle, currently President and Representative Director of Merck Japan. This personnel change will take effect on July 1.
