On June 17, 2025, AbbVie registered a Phase II clinical trial for IMGN-151 in the treatment of gynecological tumors on the Clinicaltrials.gov website.

This Phase II clinical trial plans to enroll 350 patients with gynecological tumors and is expected to be completed by early 2028.

ImmunoGen's Elahere is the world's first FRα ADC. The company has simultaneously developed a new generation of FRα dual-epitope ADC drug IMGN-151, which was in Phase I clinical stage when it was acquired by AbbVie in 2023.

IMGN-151 and Elahere also have slight differences in toxins.

Summary

ImmuoGen was acquired by AbbVie for $10.1 billion due to the clinical breakthrough of FRα ADC. Elahere achieved sales of $479 million in 2024 and $179 million in the first quarter of 2025.
