On June 24, 2025, Eli Lilly and Company registered a Phase III clinical trial on Clinicaltrials.gov for Retatrutide in the treatment of obesity with lower back pain.

This Phase III clinical trial plans to enroll 586 patients with obesity and lower back pain, with a follow-up period of 80 weeks, and is expected to be completed in September 2027.
