This collaboration aims to bring innovative solutions to a growing patient population by combining ProFound's unique capabilities in identifying novel proteins from the expanded proteome as drug candidates and drug targets with Novartis' long-standing commitment and expertise in developing superior cardiovascular medicines to help patients with cardiovascular diseases.Case. Under the terms of the four-year collaboration agreement, ProFound will receive an upfront and near-term milestone payment of $25 million, with a potential deal value of $750 million in downstream milestones for each selected target, and is eligible for additional tiered royalties.
The ProFoundry platform combines multi-layered biological data sources with advanced computational tools to discover, research, and validate the rich protein sources hidden within the expanded human proteome, and to elucidate new protein drugs and drug targets from these findings.
