Non-invasive brain-computer interface technology solution provider

On June 27, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced the list of members of the new Chief Executive's Advisory Board, with 34 members appointed this time.Among them, Han Bicheng, a brain-computer interface expert and the founder and CEO of BrainCo, has been appointed as an advisor in the field of "Innovation and Entrepreneurship."He is also one of the three newly added members. The other two are former IMF Vice President Zhu Min, andWang Xingxing, founder of Unitree Technology.Other members in the same group as Han Bicheng include Joe Tsai, Chairman of the Board of Alibaba Group, Michael Spence, Nobel laureate in Economics and Professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Professor Ye Yuru, President of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and so on.


Joseph Tsai is a legendary figure of Alibaba. In 1999, he gave up a $700,000 annual salary to join the team, using an international perspective to build a modern enterprise framework, helping Alibaba become a top e-commerce giant. He has managed Goldman Sachs financing and Yahoo's acquisition, cross-border acquired the Brooklyn Nets, with a net worth exceeding 68 billion yuan.


Michael Spence, the 2001 Nobel Prize winner in Economics, is currently a professor at the New York University Stern School of Business. His core contribution lies in proposing the signaling theory in markets with asymmetric information, explaining how education serves as a credible signal of ability in the labor market.


Professor Ye Yuru is an internationally renowned neurobiologist, currently serving as the President of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is also an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a foreign associate of the US National Academy of Sciences, and the recipient of numerous honors. She has long been dedicated to research on neurodegenerative diseases, achieving breakthrough results particularly in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.


The newly joined Zhu Min, who is highly influential in the international financial community, will contribute his expertise and global network to enhance the modern management and risk control capabilities of local financial institutions as Hong Kong actively develops emerging fields such as green finance and digital finance. He will also provide strategic guidance for the deep integration of Hong Kong and mainland China’s financial markets, helping to further consolidate Hong Kong's position as an international financial center.


In addition, the list of advisors includes top experts from various fields such as Dr. Allan Zeman, known as the "Father of Lan Kwai Fong," Weijian Shan, Chairman of PAG, Degui Bai, Chairman of Taigu Group, and Colm Kelleher, Chairman of UBS Group.


Media reports stated that the appointment of the new Chief Executive's advisory committee fully demonstrates the government's emphasis on scientific and technological innovation, as well as its determination to transform Hong Kong into an international technology and innovation hub, also highlighting the multiple aspects of Hong Kong during its economic transition.

Strategic Requirements.


Han Bicheng founded BrainCo, a strong brain technology company, at Harvard University in 2015, focusing on the research and application of non-invasive brain-computer interface technology. The company has now grown into the first unicorn enterprise in the brain-computer interface field and is in a leading position in the global brain-computer interface industry. The company's business widely covers areas such as rehabilitation medicine, health care, and human-computer interaction, continuously promoting the industrialization process of brain-computer interface technology.


In April this year, Chief Executive John Lee led a delegation to visit Hangzhou and met with Han Bicheng. During the meeting, Han Bicheng expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with Hong Kong. John Lee immediately stated that the Special Administrative Region government would provide assistance. While helping BrainCo expand into the international market, they can also promote Hong Kong's innovation and technology development.
