Recently, the "Intelligent Chain Antibody · AI Empowerment — 2025 Antibody R&D Intelligent Innovation Summit," exclusively sponsored by Great Bay Bio, hosted by the Pharmaceutical Hall of Fame, and co-organized by Vanku Technology Business Incubator, successfully concluded at the Shanghai International Medical Park.
GBB and guests from Immune-Onc, Mablink Bioscience, Youlin Pharmaceutical, CStone Pharmaceuticals, EpimAb Biotherapeutics, Alpha Bright Bio, Jichuan Pharmaceutical, and BioNova Pharmaceuticals discussed the latest technological advancements, clinical development strategies, and industrialization challenges in the field of antibody-based drugs, providing a comprehensive and multi-perspective view of the latest developments and future trends in the antibody drug sector.

GBB Chief Technology Officer Qi Kai Delivered a Keynote Speech on "Empowering Biopharmaceutical Innovation with Future Intelligent Technologies—Three Stories of Bispecific Antibody Development"The intelligent technology platform of Great Bay Bio (AlfaCell) elaborates on how to address the low expression of TEC antibodies, the need for CMC data when licensing preclinical bispecific antibody molecules to buyers, and the application scenarios where three bispecific antibody candidate PCCs simultaneously enter animal experiments while cell line construction is carried out in parallel, thereby helping clients develop products faster and better.
The AlfaCell platform uses site-specific integration technology to rapidly construct high-yield stable cell lines suitable for industrial-scale production. Its unique "dual-fast" advantage helps customers obtain high-yield cell lines within 1.5 months and quickly predict product quality within 1 month. The platform has achieved excellent case results in the application fields of fusion proteins, monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, and ADCs. Currently, the AlfaCell platform has assisted customers in obtaining the implied permission for a new drug clinical trial application (IND) from the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the first clinical medication has been successfully administered.

GBB (AI) Chief Technology Officer Hongjiang Miao Delivered a Keynote Speech on "Case Study of AI-Driven Design and Development of Antibody Drugs"Introduced how GBB's intelligent technology platform (AlfaDAX) empowers molecular design and optimization of antibody drugs through AI technology, and accelerates preclinical development of antibody drugs using "artificial intelligence + automation."
The AlfaDAX platform uses AI technology to comprehensively evaluate several key factors affecting drug developability, including safety (immunogenicity and toxicity), efficacy (potency and mechanism of action), and developability (physicochemical properties and manufacturability). It intelligently assesses the drug-likeness of molecular compounds and simulates the evaluation and optimization of key druggability characteristics of antibodies.Data shows that the aggregation precipitation prediction accuracy of AlfaDAX antibody druggability analysis is 89%, viscosity prediction accuracy is 96%, and expression prediction accuracy is 86%.Currently, the AlfaDAX system has served multiple biopharmaceutical enterprises.
