Innovative Targeted Cancer Drug Developer

Recently, Signet Therapeutics, with its project "Innovative Targeted Cancer Drug Development Based on Organoids + AI," was successfully advanced to the national semi-finals of the 3rd China National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition as one of the two recommended projects in Guangdong Province's "New Generation Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence" track.

According to the announcement released by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, this selection follows the requirements of the "Notice on Hosting the 3rd China National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition" (MOHRSS Letter [2025] No.18). After a comprehensive evaluation at the expert review meeting, SIGNET has successfully advanced to the national semi-finals of the 3rd China National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
SIGNET adheres to source innovation and has built the world's first "organoid + AI" drug discovery platform. This platform uses AI technology to achieve broad screening of candidate drugs, while the company utilizes organoid models to provide precise efficacy evaluation (based on disease model organoids) and drug safety testing (based on normal organoids). By combining AI virtual screening with organoid experimental validation, the platform significantly improves the efficiency of traditional pharmaceuticals and the clinical success rate of drugs. Based on this platform, SIGNET has developed SIGX1094, the world’s first targeted drug for diffuse gastric cancer, which is currently undergoing Phase I clinical trials at Peking University Cancer Hospital. In the dose escalation trial of Phase I, it has demonstrated good safety and preliminary anti-tumor activity.
The National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is the largest, highest-level, and most extensive postdoctoral event in China. SIGNET's smooth advancement to the semifinals marks the recognition of its research achievements and project progress by the government and the scientific community.
About SIGNET
SIGNET is a global pioneer in the "organoid + AI" drug development model, recognized as a specialized and innovative enterprise in Shenzhen and certified as a national high-tech enterprise. The company originated on the campus of Harvard University and officially established its presence in Shenzhen by the end of 2020, having since secured nearly 220 million yuan in funding and project grants. Currently, the company has four drug pipelines, with the first pipeline developing SIGX1094, the world’s first targeted drug for diffuse gastric cancer. It has received IND approval from both the U.S. FDA and China’s NMPA, and has been granted Orphan Drug Designation and Fast Track Designation by the U.S. FDA. Phase I clinical trials are currently underway at the Peking University Cancer Hospital.
Signet is not only the phonetic translation of "Signet" but also adheres to the vision of "full of hope, studying things to gain knowledge." The company leverages patient-derived organoid disease models that closely resemble genomic characteristics for critical roles in drug efficacy evaluation and novel target discovery. Combining AI-powered screening, synthesis, and optimization of small molecule compounds, Signet develops first-in-class innovative targeted drugs. The company boasts approximately 1500㎡ of R&D space and 500㎡ of animal laboratory space. Signet Therapeutics' organoid platform not only supports its own drug pipeline but also actively empowers large pharmaceutical enterprises in new drug development. Collaborative partners include Shenzhen Second People's Hospital, the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen BioRay Pharma, and Genuine Biotech, contributing to the birth of more innovative drugs.
