Medical Device Manufacturer
Medtronic today announced an exclusive U.S. distribution agreement with Future Medical Design to sell both advanced and standard peripheral guidewires. The agreement includes the first 400 cm 0.018-inch peripheral guidewire in the U.S. market, further expanding Medtronic's radial access portfolio for the treatment of peripheral artery disease (PAD).
This time, Medtronic has brought a total of 10 new peripheral stainless steel guidewires from the F-14 and F-18 series. Among them, one guidewire in the F-8 series is up to 400 centimeters long, and this guidewire can be used with its drug-coated balloon.IN.PACT(200 cm working length)When used in conjunction with the Pacific Plus PTA Catheter, it provides doctors with a complete device solution for treating lesions via the radial artery approach.
Executive Evaluation
"F-14 and F-18 guidewires not only meet the tactile feedback, guidewire strength, and maneuverability required for lower limb interventional procedures but also expand the range of transradial interventional tools, marking a significant technological advancement. The addition of these products to Medtronic's portfolio holds substantial progress significance for its customers and the patients they serve."
---John Laird Chief Medical Officer of Peripheral Vascular Health at Medtronic Cardiovascular Business Group
"These stainless steel guidewires are an important addition to our product portfolio. We are committed to providing doctors with the tools they need, and now, with a more comprehensive range of guidewire products, we can meet diverse clinical needs, including transradial access."
