Gelonghui July 25 | Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis will pay up to $1 billion to U.S.-based biotech firm Matchpoint Therapeutics for the development of oral medications targeting various inflammatory diseases. Matchpoint will use its technology to develop drugs that block the activity of specific proteins, helping to reduce the generation of inflammatory signals.
