On July 25, the first probiotic product of the Chayan family——"Chang Yijun" Ready-to-Eat Probiotics (hereinafter referred to as "Chang Yijun Probiotics") officially launched in nearly a thousand offline stores of Chayan Yuese (including sub-brands) and e-commerce channels such as the official mini-program.

Changyi Jun's probiotics use three strains of Chinese bacteria, XA-1416, XA-2103, and XA-8187, developed by Xbiome, which are derived from the intestines of healthy Chinese individuals, aiming to "make patented bacteria accessible to everyone." Xbiome and Chayan Yuese hope that this collaboration will bring a technological upgrade to tea beverages, creating a new proposition for youthful and healthy tea drinks.

Chang Yi Jun Probiotics contain six scientifically verified strains, with each sachet containing 60 billion CFU of active probiotics. From July 25 to August 3, by purchasing nearly 70 types of freshly made chilled drinks from the Cha Yan family for +0.99 yuan, you can enjoy a special drink with 60 billion CFU "active probiotic version." Additionally, on July 25, Cha Yan Yue Se will invite 20,000 consumers across China to participate in a 0-yuan tasting event, with participants having the chance to receive a 14-day supply of Chang Yi Jun products. Consumers who often experience "moody intestines" can sign up by filling out a questionnaire via the Cha Yan Yue Se mini-program. Apart from the active probiotic version drinks, consumers can also directly purchase boxed Chang Yi Jun ready-to-eat probiotics through Cha Yan Yue Se's e-commerce channels.

The XA-1416, XA-2103, and XA-8187 strains added to Changyi Jun's probiotics are all "star strains" from Xbiome's AI + BT microbiome research and product development platform. Xbiome has independently built leading-scale strain sample banks, databases, and knowledge bases. From thousands of probiotic candidate strains preserved from the intestines of healthy Chinese people, through a "funnel-style" screening strategy and pharmaceutical-grade R&D pathway involving whole-genome sequencing, AI bioinformatics prediction, in vitro fermentation and quantitative testing, in vitro validation, and animal model validation, they "select one in a thousand" strains that are safe, effective, scientifically evidenced, and have original functions, advancing them to probiotic product development.

XA-2103It is a strain of Bifidobacterium breve, with the patent number 2023117352331, and the patent is currently in the stage of public substantive examination. In in vitro studies, XA-2103 can protect the integrity of the intestinal epithelial barrier and has immunomodulatory effects; in the inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) mouse model, it significantly alleviates colitis symptoms and improves the pathological structure of the colon.

XA-1416It is a strain of Lactobacillus salivarius, which has been granted a national patent with the title "Application of Lactobacillus salivarius in the Preparation of Drugs for Treating Obesity" and the patent number 2024105421782. XA-1416 can precisely regulate metabolism through four pathways: promoting fat breakdown and excretion, reducing obesity-prone bacteria while increasing lean-prone bacteria, activating AMPK energy metabolism, and inhibiting fat accumulation and differentiation. It reduces body fat and visceral fat, creating an "easy-to-lean physique." In animal experiments, XA-1416 significantly suppressed weight gain, lowered blood lipids, especially low-density cholesterol (LDL-C) levels, reduced visceral fat, and improved liver damage indicators. Currently, Xbiome and the School of Public Health, Sun Yat-sen University (Shenzhen), are jointly conducting clinical trials on XA-1416 to explore the anti-obesity effects and health impacts of "functional probiotics" on overweight and obese populations, with volunteer recruitment underway.

XA-8187It is a strain of Lactobacillus plantarum. Animal experimental data on mice with allergic rhinitis show that XA-8187 can prevent and/or treat allergic rhinitis, including alleviating the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, suppressing the immune response caused by allergic rhinitis, and repairing nasal mucosal damage induced by allergic rhinitis. The related patent has entered the substantive examination stage.(Note from the author: The above content does not involve product efficacy promotion. It only cites publicly available patent application materials for the purpose of providing a scientific introduction to the raw material strains.)

Currently, the patented strains independently developed by Xbiome have covered functional areas such as weight management, gut health, osteoporosis, mental health, and tumor immunity, and can carry out customized functional research and development according to the business needs of partners.

Tea beverages are becoming an important part of young people's lifestyle. Reports from well-known media outlets point out that in schools and workplaces, tea drinks serve as a low-cost way to celebrate, act as a lubricant to bring people closer, and can also soothe emotions, alleviate anxiety, and eliminate the "aftertaste of work," providing young people with positive and relaxing emotional value amid their tiring studies, jobs, and daily lives. This time, the collaboration between Chayan Yuese and Xbiome on "New Chinese-style Tea Beverages × Chinese Microbiota" will bring technological upgrades to modern tea drinks and inject new health momentum into the daily consumption scenarios of young people.
