Patrick Zhang has a strong background in the intersection of finance and life sciences. He graduated from Sichuan University with a degree in Biochemistry and later obtained dual master's degrees in Finance and Biophysics from Case Western Reserve University in the United States. As a senior CFA charterholder, Patrick Zhang’s career has spanned several professional institutions, where he served as the head of biopharmaceutical research at JMP Securities and Oppenheimer, and led a team at IHS Markit that ranked first in the industry for seven consecutive years.

After entering the industry, Mr. Patrick Zhang served as Vice President of Overseas Business Development at Fosun Pharma's CMO Office and Head of External Innovation at the Global R&D Center, as well as Vice President of Strategic Marketing at GenScript. He led and completed several high-profile, high-value transactions, including the introduction of Revance neuromodulators (the largest inbound deal for Fosun to date), the collaboration with BioNTech on the COVID-19 vaccine (achieving significant return on investment), and the out-licensing of a small molecule innovative drug to Eli Lilly (with a total deal value of $460 million). These accomplishments fully demonstrate his outstanding capabilities in global business development, capital operations, and strategic management.
