Semaglutide Surpasses Keytruda with DKK 112.76 Billion in Sales as Novo Nordisk Reports 18% H1 Revenue Growth

According to reports from Novo Nordisk, on August 6, Novo Nordisk released its financial report for the first half of 2025. In the first six months, Novo Nordisk's sales reached 154.944 billion Danish kroner, increasing by 16% in Danish kroner terms and by 18% in fixed currency terms. Operating profit grew by 29% in fixed currency terms, with net profit reaching 55.537 billion Danish kroner.

Semaglutide's sales in the first half of the year reached 112.756 billion Danish kroner. The sales of Ozempic (semaglutide injection for blood sugar control) were 64.520 billion Danish kroner, while the sales of Wegovy (semaglutide injection for weight loss) were 36.888 billion Danish kroner. Novo Nordisk has submitted a registration application to the European Medicines Agency for a higher dose of Wegovy (semaglutide 7.2 mg). Novo Nordisk stated that it will continue to increase commercial investment and promote the market penetration of Wegovy and Ozempic in more markets globally.
